Last updated: August 11, 2026
This policy describes how OpenTulpa handles personal information for website visitors and product customers.
Who we are
OpenTulpa (“we”, “us”) provides AI chatbot and messaging automation software for small businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit opentulpa.com, create an account, or use our product.
For privacy questions, contact hello@opentulpa.com.
Information we collect
Account information: name, email address, password credentials, and business details you provide during signup or onboarding.
Product data: conversation transcripts, booking or lead details your chatbot collects from your customers, and configuration you store in OpenTulpa (services, policies, channel settings).
Usage and device data: approximate location derived from IP, browser type, pages viewed, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the service.
Payment information: processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on OpenTulpa servers.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide and improve the product, authenticate accounts, process payments, send transactional email, diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and communicate product updates you request or that are required for service operation.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your customer conversation content to train public foundation models unrelated to operating your OpenTulpa workspace.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication and session security. We also use analytics tools (including Google Analytics and product analytics providers configured for the site) to understand aggregate usage and improve the product.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent login or other core features from working.
Sharing and processors
We share data with infrastructure and service providers that help us run OpenTulpa (hosting, authentication, email delivery, payments, analytics), under contractual confidentiality and data-processing terms.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale where appropriate notice will be given when legally required.
International transfers and retention
OpenTulpa may process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards.
We retain account and product data for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, security, and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of account data subject to those obligations.
Your rights
Depending on your location (including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA jurisdictions), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, and to opt out of sale/sharing where those concepts apply. OpenTulpa does not sell personal information.
To exercise rights, email hello@opentulpa.com. We may need to verify your request before responding.
Children
OpenTulpa is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page or communicated by email when appropriate.
